Queen Anne Books is hosting a cookout with 15 local authors, including Garth Stein, Stephanie Kallos, Erik Larson, Jennie Shortridge, Boyd Morrison, and Deb Caletti, on the patio outside their storefront (1811 Queen Anne Ave N) from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today, Thursday, August 11.
There will be hot dogs, lemonade, a book drive and a whole lot of literary mingling. The guest authors will be collecting books and donations to support the creation of community pocket libraries by local literacy non-profit seattle7writers.
