School is starting all over the Hill right after Labor Day weekend. Let’s all remember to slow down and watch out for our neighborhood kids walking to and from.
Seattle Public schools start on September 5th. SPS is urging all parents who haven’t registered their children to do so no later than 8/28 via their website (seattleschools.org/enrollment) or phone at 206-252-0010. They need time to place children by the first day of class.
Also, vaccinations need to be up-to-date and info can be found on the Washington State Department of Health website. Included on the website is the exemption paperwork for those families who decide not to vaccinate. Additional information can also be obtained through the King County Department of Public Health.
Coe Elementary:
- starts at 8:55 on 9/5 and dismisses at 3pm.
- classroom assignments can be found on the school window at 9am on Friday 8/24
- Kindergarten and new family meet-and-greet 8/30 from 4-5:30pm.

John Hay Elementary:
- starts at 9:30 on 9/5 and dismisses at 3:35pm
- 9/5 early dismissal for Kindergarten only at 1:30pm
- Open house for kindergarten only on 9/4 from 11:30am-12:30pm

Queen Anne Elementary:
- All school picture at 9:25am on 9/5 on the front stairs
- Following all school picture and welcome, there will be a Parent’s reception
- Back to school night 8/30 from 4-6pm
- Classroom assignments will be posted for back to school night

McClure Middle School:
- 7:50am start on 9/5 with a dismissal at 2:20pm

St. Anne’s:
- First day of school is 9/4 with a noon dismissal
- Middle school back to school night is 9/5 at 7pm
- PreK-5th grade back to school night is 9/12 at 7pm
Seattle Country Day
- First day of school is 9/5
- Grades 6-8 back to school night is 9/13
- Grades 4-5 back to school night is 9/20
- Grades 2-3 back to school night is 9/27
- Grades K-1 back to school night is 10/4
