Are you interested in the changes on tap for Seattle’s waterfront, including the world’s largest-diameter bored tunnel, the new Elliott Bay seawall, and 26 blocks of parks, paths, and public spaces? As part of the Seattle Center’s “The Next 50: Celebrating the 1962 World’s Fair and Its Legacy”, there’s a free special event on Monday at the Seattle Center Armory/Center House.
Starting at noon, the event will show how the 99 Tunnel, the Elliott Bay Seawall Project and the new Waterfront will shape up in years to come, transforming our downtown waterfront.
Agenda:
– Noon-6pm: Explore interactive models of the tunnel boring machine, the existing seawall and conceptual waterfront designs
– 6pm-7:30pm: Presentation & discussion with agency directors and industry experts
