Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity that helps keep kids safe and promotes safer driving in our neighborhood? Queen Anne Elementary has an urgent need for volunteer crossing guards to keep the kids safe en route to and from school.

If you’ve driven by the school at 411 Boston St, then you know that it’s on a busy road, and the 20mph school zone speed limit is not always respected. The school needs crossing guards to help kids and their families safely cross Boston at 4th Ave N, and they need them as soon as possible.

Volunteers are needed weekday mornings from 9:00-9:30am and weekday afternoons from 3:25-3:50pm. The school provides a brief safety-training course; volunteers must complete a no-cost background check.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer crossing guard, please email Karen G. or phone the school office at 206.252.2480 and leave your contact information.
