Seattle Animal Shelter Pet of the Week: Douglas

Pet of the Week

On Fridays we feature an adoptable pet from the Seattle Animal Shelter (SAS). SAS is located at 2061 15th Ave W, just north of Whole Foods, at the corner of W. Armory Way. SAS is open Wednesday – Sunday, noon-6pm.

Queen Anne View has not met any of these pets – SAS is providing us with the description, as they know them well. We encourage potential adopters to get in touch with SAS and work with them to evaluate the compatibility of your home and a new pet.

SAS Pet of the Week – Douglas

Douglas 2013-9-19 3Douglas is all Lab – friendly, goofy, intelligent, loyal, athletic and energetic. He came to the shelter as a stray, although he was clearly cared for in the past – he knows sit, down, and shake, and is house trained too!

At around five years old, he’s very exuberant and strong, and will benefit from continued training with his new family – the plus being he’s super food motivated!

This handsome fellow is looking for a super active home environment with some prior dog experience.

He’ll need daily exercise – he’d love to join you on hikes and jogs – and really wants to be a part of all your family adventures. He’s good with teens and adults, as well as some other dogs. Douglas can’t wait to meet you!

Douglas (SAS IS #13-8869) is at the Seattle Animal Shelter.

Dog Adoption Applications are available in the Shelter lobby, or you may download the application and bring it with you to the Shelter or follow the directions to submit it via email or fax.

If you have general questions about this dog, you may call the Shelter’s Animal Care Staff at (206) 386-4294.
