Seattle Animal Shelter Pet of the Week: Harry

Pet of the Week

On Fridays we feature an adoptable pet from the Seattle Animal Shelter (SAS). [Ok, today is Saturday, but I’ve been under the weather this week] SAS is located at 2061 15th Ave W, just north of Whole Foods, at the corner of W. Armory Way. SAS is open Wednesday – Sunday, noon-6pm.

Queen Anne View has not met any of these pets – SAS is providing us with the description, as they know them well. We encourage potential adopters to get in touch with SAS and work with them to evaluate the compatibility of your home and a new pet.

Meet Harry!

Harry 2013-11-15 3Hello, Harry here. I got my name because of my red hair, adorable face and rascally personality. Can you guess what other “Harry” might be my namesake?? Hint: he is a Prince!

My start in life was anything but royal, and I ended up fending for myself for a while. Now, I’m a lovable addition to my foster brothers, a senior Greyhound and Dachshund mix (kinda like me). I still get scared of big dogs, new people and unexpected situations, but I settled in to my foster home easily and am very attached to my foster mom.

I’m 3 years old, housebroken and love to go on walks. I also love to be held and to be scratched! I would thrive in a calm, loving, adult home with no cats. Won’t you come meet me? I will show you how sweet I am!

Harry (SAS #13-9008) is being adored in a foster. If you would like to meet him, you must submit a Dog Adoption Application to SAS. Download the application and follow the instructions for submitting via email or fax. Or you may pick up an application at the Shelter. If you have general questions about this dog, you may call the Shelter’s Animal Care Staff at (206) 386-4294.
