In what’s becoming an annual event, American Express is again hosting Small Business Saturday this Saturday, November 30th. While it may seem odd to some that a big corporation is behind Shop Small, the intention is good – and we have plenty of small businesses to patronize on Saturday.
For those small businesses that accept AmEx, you can even get $10 back for spending at least $10 on your AmEx card at qualifying businesses. All you have to do is register your card online. Eligible merchants are searchable on the AmEx map – looks like many of our Queen Anne restaurants are on the list.
But, the spirit of Shop Small should really be on buying local and supporting our small businesses and independent Queen Anne merchants. So, skip Black Friday and Shop Small on Saturday! Stick around Queen Anne and make it a day!
