Woza Soccer Adventures is an organization that develops and leads educational service trips for high school soccer players – trips that take the teens around the world to developing countries to learn and help out local soccer communities.

SA Soccer 2Founded by Ballard High School graduate Chris Kaimmer, Woza is a teen adventure travel company for soccer players. Woza’s summer adventure will take teens to South Africa, where they can experience local soccer culture and do service at a rural Zulu soccer academy in July.

This Thursday, you can learn more about Woza and the upcoming trip without even leaving the neighborhood. Cederberg Tea House will host Woza and interested teens and their families for a presentation on the upcoming trip.

Fees paid to go on this summer’s trip will fund a new soccer field for the academy and health/education initiatives in the community.

SA Soccer 3Kaimmer’s vision for Woza is “to create a teen adventure travel company for soccer players that sustainably funds worthwhile soccer academies and sport-focused NGOs in the developing world, and this is my pilot year to try to prove that it can work and that kids would want to go on a trip like this.

Interested players and families are invited to the free presentation at Cederberg Tea House (1417 Queen Anne Ave N) this Thursday, January 16th, at 7pm.

Not only can you learn more about the trip and enjoy South African tea and treats, you may also win a Vuvuzela horn!
