Agave Cocina & Tequilas to open early this summer

If you’ve walked by the EXPO Apartments building lately, you’ve likely seen the sign for Agave Cocina & Tequilas along the 1st Ave N side of the building (along with a note for Roaring Bowl – more on them soon).

Owner Federico Ramos says the family owned and operated restaurant will be opening in early summer – they’re shooting for a May 2014 grand opening.

The Lower Queen Anne/Uptown location will be the third Agave in the area. Other locations are in the Issaquah Highlands and Redmond Town Center. You can check out their fare online, and note, they’ll be serving tequila and cocktails too.

According to Ramos, Agave serves contemporary Mexican cuisine, and they use fresh natural ingredients (organic when possible), with no preservatives, trans-fats or lard. Agave makes all of its food from scratch, including sauces, fillings, tortillas, and guacamole, and many of the restaurant’s specialty cocktails are made with fresh juices and purees.

The Agave family is looking forward to opening its third location in Queen Anne, just in time for summer!
