Did you know that there’s a Puget Sound Bike Share program ready to launch this year? Well, there is, and the organizers are seeking input from local residents.

Bike shareAccording to the Puget Sound Bike Share web site, “Puget Sound Bike Share is a partnership of public and private organizations working to bring bike sharing to King County. Our vision is to provide King County residents and visitors access to a low-cost, fast, flexible, and convenient transportation alternative with economic, social, and environmental benefits to the region.”

The program is still in the planning stage, but at this point, the program “will likely include 50 stations and 500 bikes in Seattle’s densest neighborhoods including Downtown, Capitol Hill, South Lake Union and the University District.” Note that neither Queen Anne nor Uptown are mentioned – so take the survey to ensure the program considers our neighborhood when it expands.

If you’d like to see this program come to Queen Anne – whether Upper Queen Anne or Lower Queen Anne/Uptown – take the survey today.
