Robert Ramsay storefrontAttention oenophiles – Robert Ramsay Cellars is opening a wine tasting cellar at 1629 Queen Anne Ave N (in the spot previously held by Café de Lion).

Woodinville has been home to the boutique winery, but Queen Anne is home to owner/winemaker Robert Ramsay Harris, better known as Bob Harris, and his wife, Lauren, who’ll be running the day-to-day operations of the Queen Anne location.

Robert Ramsay logoFounded in 2005, Robert Ramsay Cellars produces Rhone varietals including Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre, as well as some Cabernet too, from grapes from Washington vineyard partners. Bob first forayed into winemaking 12 years ago at another winery before founding Robert Ramsay.

Like most smaller winemakers and winery owners, Bob has a day job – wine is a passion for him, and the tasting cellar on Queen Anne will be a great spot to share that passion with the community.

According to Lauren, “We were looking for a second location and are thrilled to bring a tasting room to Queen Anne, which is only 3 blocks from our home. We love it here and want to share our business and hope people enjoy our product!”

You’ll be able to taste their creations when the doors open in March. Robert Ramsay will be open 5 days a week, offering wine flights and bottle purchases – while you wait for March, you can check out the reviews and accolades for their wine online.
