UPDATE: The planned Mercer closure has been cancelled due to (impending) inclement weather. The Queen Anne Ave N & Roy Street intersection work will proceed as planned.

SDOT will be closing the intersection of Queen Anne Ave N and Roy St from 4am Saturday through 5am Monday.

Here are the details from SDOT:

Eastbound Mercer Closure– 5am Friday, April 4 to 5am Monday, April 7: CANCELLED

Queen Anne Ave N & Roy St Closure: 4am Saturday, April 5 through 5am Monday, April 7

    QA & Roy

  • Access to northbound Queen Anne Avenue N will be fully closed to traffic from Roy St to accommodate signal pole installations and sidewalk work.
  • Travelers heading north from westbound Roy St will be detoured onto southbound Queen Anne Ave N and then right onto Mercer St to proceed north on 2nd Ave W.
  • To access Queen Anne from Downtown, travelers should use westbound Mercer St to 2nd Ave W or 5th Ave N and Taylor Ave N.
  • Southbound Queen Anne Avenue N will be reduced to one lane between Valley and Roy streets.
