Seattle Animal Shelter Pet of the Week: Bunnies!
Posted on June 20th, 2014 by Laura Fonda
On Fridays we feature an adoptable pet from the Seattle Animal Shelter (SAS). SAS is located at 2061 15th Ave W, just north of Whole Foods, at the corner of W. Armory Way. SAS is open Wednesday – Sunday, noon-6pm.
Queen Anne View has not met any of these pets – SAS is providing us with the description, as they know them well. We encourage potential adopters to get in touch with SAS and work with them to evaluate the compatibility of your home and a new pet.
Updates on previous pets:
Mama (lap cat) – avaiable for adoption
Maude (brown tabby kitty) – available for adoption
Angie & Ninja (pair of senior dogs) – available for adoption
Cosmo (yellow lab mix) – available for adoption
Norman (guinea pig) – Adopted!
Pounce (silky grey cat) – available for adoption
Lizzie (black chihuahua pup) – Adopted!
Elsa (white kitty) – available for adoption
Beautiful Brown Bunnies!
Bella, Luna, (females) and Roscoe (male) were found as strays in Woodland Park. They’ve spent some time with a foster family to learn how to be good house bunnies, and are now back at the shelter, ready to find their loving forever homes.
Xanadu (male, lop eared) was also found as a stray in Woodland Park. He’s a handsome, gentle, young rabbit who’s learning to trust people. He’s easy to pick up and enjoys spending time in his play pen.
Rabbits are intelligent and social animals who prefer having a rabbit companion. They’ll thrive living indoors with daily human interaction, and can be litterbox trained. With lots of love and proper care, bunnies can live to be 7 – 10 years old.
Bella, Luna and Roscoe (SAS ID #14-15588-1, -2, & -3) are at the Seattle Animal Shelter. Come on down to meet them!
Xanadu (SAS ID #14-17434) is in a foster home. Please call the foster care hotline at 206-684-0685 or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like to meet him.
NOTE: From June 21st – 29th, rabbits, critters and cats at least 6 months old will have an adoption fee of only $5.00)! (plus license fees for cats when applicable)
