As part of the ongoing construction around the Mercer corridor, SDOT will be shifting pedestrian and bicycle traffic on Mercer St tomorrow, Wednesday, July 2. The shift will be from the north side of Mercer St to the south side of Mercer St between 5th Ave N and Dexter Ave N.

Details from SDOT:

  • The new sidewalk on the south side of Mercer Street will be in place between 5th Ave N and Aurora Ave N and a temporary pathway will connect pedestrians and bicyclists from Aurora Ave N through the work zone to Dexter Ave N.
  • No pedestrian access will be allowed on the north side of Mercer St between Taylor Ave N and Dexter Ave N.
  • Travelers headed to and from South Lake Union from the Uptown neighborhood should use the south side of Mercer Street to 5th Ave N, rather than Taylor Ave N.

Mercer Sidewalk 0702
