Queen Bee signWe first provided the run-down on Queen Bee Café last month, and the grand opening is now set for this Saturday, September 26th. The café specializes in crumpets and sandwiches made with crumpets aka crumpwiches, and it’ll also serve coffee, tea, and other beverages as well.

The crumpet and coffee shop will be located in the Aegis Living building at 223 W Galer St, with chef Justin Sledge, formerly of Café Juanita and currently of Queen Bee’s other location on Capitol Hill, at the helm of it’s crumpet creations.

Aside from the crumpets, another good reason to try Queen Bee is their philanthropic approach to the business. Each quarter, all profits go to a selected charity – and first up is the Queen Anne Helpline.

If you’d like to check out the making of a crumpwich, and see the good work of the Queen Anne Helpline highlighted too, check out the segment that aired earlier today on New Day Northwest:

Crumpet fans: mark your calendars for Saturday and beyond!
