Halloween happens twice on Queen Anne this week

Reminder: this year, Halloween falls on a Saturday, and that means Queen Anne kids get a “double Halloween” (to quote a reader). One on Queen Anne Ave N on Friday, the other in the neighborhoods on Saturday night.

Halloween Minions 2013For the annual Trick-or-Treat on Queen Anne Ave, mark your calendars for this Friday, October 30th from 3pm to 6pm. Merchants and shopkeepers along Queen Anne Ave N between Galer St and McGraw St will be handing out candy to trick-or-treaters. The usually-costumed merchants hand out thousands of pieces of candy each year, and despite the weather forecast (rain), the event goes on!

Then, Saturday brings the “real” Halloween – the neigbhorhood streets will be filled with trick-or-treaters seeking out candy from homes all over Queen Anne. They won’t be tuckered out from the Queen Anne Ave event this year, so you might see more ghosts and goblins than usual.

As always, please be careful on Halloween and drive safely on our neighborhood streets, and on Friday, October 30th, please avoid driving down Queen Anne Ave N to keep everyone safe.

Happy Halloween!
