A Queen Anne resident has started a Jewish organization for Queen Anne families, Chabad of Queen Anne, and the organization is hosting its first community event, Let it Glow, this Sunday, December 6th, the first night of Chanukah.

Let it GlowLet it Glow celebrates the first night and centers around a menorah lighting ceremony. The event takes place at the corner of W Crockett and Queen Anne Ave N – where the Farmer’s Market happens in the summer. The evening promises family fun with special guests Elsa and Ana from Frozen, face painting, and balloons for kids, and latkes, jelly donuts, and music for all. Plus, dreidels!

The free ceremony and fun begins at 4:30pm, and the first 50 people will get a free glow in the dark menorah necklace. Be sure to stop by the Chanukah block party to celebrate or learn more about the holiday.

Chabad of Queen Anne is a local chapter of the worldwide Chabad movemen that will support the Jewish communities of Queen Anne and Magnolia. The organization plans on hosting both educational and cultural programs for the community, and all are welcome to attend the family-friendly events.

Stay tuned for more from this new Queen Anne organization, and Happy Chanukah!
