Tomorrow, Friday, December 4th, kicks off the holiday season on Queen Anne. The annual Holiday Magic shop-local event begins at 4pm and runs until 8pm. Upper Queen Anne merchants will have special deals to usher in the season and encourage shopping local on Queen Anne during the holiday season.
Plus, Santa will make his annual appearance at HomeStreet Bank, ready for free photos with kids and families. Be sure to stop by before 7:00pm, as Santa has to head back to the North Pole before Holiday Magic ends!
This year’s Holiday Magic is joined by a new tradition, the Queen Anne Tree Lighting. The tree made its way to the Towne courtyard earlier this week, straight from the Queen Anne Helpline Christmas Tree Lot. It’s set and ready to go at 6:00pm. Hot beverages from Storyville and cookies from Aegis Living will be on tap for those on hand to countdown to the tree lighting.
Mayor Ed Murray will announce the countdown for the tree lighting, and the Seattle Pacific University Brass Ensemble and cellist Peter Ellis will be performing holiday music.
