From our friends at the Queen Anne Farmers Market:
If you are counting down the days until the 2017 market season, we have a treat for you: Skinny Kitty Farms will be setting up shop on Queen Anne this Thursday, November 3rd, from 3pm-6pm to fill your pantry.
They will be bringing:
- Winter Squash
- Onions
- Potatoes
- Kale — Red Russian, Spigariello, Green and Scarlet Curly
- Mustard Greens
- Cabbage
- Dry Beans — Black and Pinto
- Apples — Kings, Crispins (early and late crops too), Akane, Shazuka, and a fall medley
- EGGS (limited supply, 1st come, 1st served; sorry no reservations)
- Heritage Chickens
- Whole Ducks
It’s about time for holiday parties, so they also have some great farm-made gifts for your hosts or guests:
- Apple Sauce
- Apple Cider
- Plum Conserve
- Apple Jam
They will be parked in the same area as the market, but will not have a tent up. Look for their bright yellow and white van. David and Bonnie will be there to help you find just what you need.
If this first pop-up is a success, they will continue to come down the first Thursday of every month until the market opens. You should never be without access to your farm-fresh produce and goods, so let’s help them as they support us.
