Last Monday, the 12 year-old Queen Anne Little League (QALL) All-Stars Baseball team won the District 8 Championship title against Magnolia – congrats to the team! Plus, that win means they are now competing in the State tournament that began this past weekend in Federal Way.

To get to State, QALL won 8 games against other District 8 teams, with Queen Anne as the south-most team and North Bothell rounding out the north end. After last year’s District win, this year’s win makes the first time in QALL history that the 12s team has won back-to-back District titles.

Where’s the team now? The Washington State Little League Tournament began yesterday, Saturday, July 15th and the 12s QALL team won their first game on Sunday, defeating Pacwest (District 7) with a final score of 6-5. A walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning scored the winning run.

Next up, the team plays Walla Walla Valley (District 5) tomorrow, Tuesday, July 18th, at 3pm. If they win the game, they will be in the semi-finals on Thursday, July 20th. The tournament is double elimination, and they haven’t lost yet, so still have at least two more games to play.

The team is managed by Trevor Christianson, and coached by John Kruse and Nick Ring. The QALL 12s players are:

TJ Armstrong
Reeve Boyd
Bjorn Johnson
Leo Kruse
Gray LeVasseur
Luke Malzewski
George Naramore
Gunnar Peterson
Nat Reed
Nicholas Ring
Blake Sandvik
Eli Senzel
William Sparks

Congrats to QALL 12s on the District Championship & best of luck in the State Tournament!
