We’ve had a couple of readers send in tips on Coba, the new restaurant in the old Red Papaya spot at 530 1st Ave N. Coba seemed to move in pretty quickly, with little disruption to the space other than a new sign and menu. Per readers, ownership did not change, which helps explain the seamless transition.

According to Coba’s website, the new version of Vietnamese focuses on Saigon street food using “local sources of mussels & clams harvested in the Puget Sound, free-range eggs raised just south of Olympia, beef that is raised south of Hood River” – plus, they have a beer selection that highlights Seattle-area breweries.

Eater published a quick blurb on Coba, highlighting some of its menu items, including a vegan pho option. You can see the entire menu here.
