Detectives and SPD SWAT arrested the suspected gunman, an 18-year-old man, on Tuesday after locating his vehicle in Magnolia.

Detectives are still investigating and working to identify additional suspects in the case.

Police are investigating after a 17-year-old was shot during a suspected drug deal early Sunday on Queen Anne.

Witnesses called 911 just at 1:45 a.m. to report a person had been shot in the 2600 block of 10th Avenue West.

Police arrived and found a 17-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest lying on the sidewalk outside of a home.  Officers administered first aid until Seattle Fire Department Medics could transport the teen to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.

Witnesses told police two men in their late teens–one of whom had a silver revolver–approached them as they were smoking outside a home. The suspects demanded the victim’s cash and threatened to shoot them.  The victim fought with the suspects who eventually fell to the ground and was then shot by one of the suspects.  The suspects then fled the area and were not found. Investigators believe the victim and the suspects were involved in a drug deal.

The teen is being treated at Harborview Medical Center and is expected to survive.

Robbery detectives are now investigating and are asking anyone with information to please call the tip line at (206)233-5000.
