14-year-old assaults two SPD officers

A 14-year-old boy injured two Seattle police officers this afternoon at Seattle Children’s Home, a non-profit facility for emotionally and developmentally challenged children on 10th Ave W in Queen Anne, according to a report by SeattleCrime.com.

Medics were called to Seattle Children’s at 4:15 p.m. to treat the 14-year-old boy who’d been injured in a fight at the facility, and according to the report, upon their arrival they “immediately called police for assistance.” Jonah Spangenthal-Lee at Seattle Crime wrote,

According to a source, when officers arrived the 14-year-old attacked them, biting one officer on the leg and kicking the other in the testicles.

Both officers were transported to Harborview Medical Center, and according to SPD Spokeswoman Renee Witt, neither was seriously injured. The boy was taken to Children’s Hospital and is being ‘kept under guard.”
