Apologies for the grammatical errors in the above headline, but it will make sense, I promise! Ben Huh, the chief executive of the Cheezburger Network, a group of immensely popular comedy blogs operated out of Lower Queen Anne, will be speaking at the Central Library tomorrow, Friday, April 23.

Huh started what has become a global Cheezburger empire with one laugh-inducing website, LOLcats, which grew into one of the largest blogging networks in the world, encompassing 47 blogs including FAILblog and I Can Has Cheezburger. Huh will be talking about how he built these blogs up to have a network readership of 13 million people worldwide per month at the discussion tomorrow. From SPL:

How does one build an empire on pictures of cats with silly, misspelled captions? The Cheezburger Network –– which consists of more than 30 popular humor sites such as I Can Has Cheezburger, FAIL Blog, There I Fixed It, and Emails from Crazy People –- has become an Internet phenomenon. Its daily collection of LOLCats, FAILS, and other blunders are the source of endless humor; you can be pretty sure that someone in your workplace is reading one of the sites and chuckling right now. But how did it happen?

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, see the SPL event page.
