One of the best ice cream shops in the country is set to open on Queen Anne in two weeks. Molly Moon’s Ice Cream will open at 321 W Galer at 3 p.m. on September 15. For the first two hours, they’re giving away free kid-sized scoops for those 12 and under.
Molly Moon’s, with shops in Wallingford and Capitol Hill, held a contest between Madrona, Ballard and Queen Anne from December through February to decide where it would open its doors next. The local ice creamery ultimately decided to open a full shop in Queen Anne, and a smaller “micro-shop” in Madrona.
Molly Moon’s Queen Anne will be open daily from 12-noon to 11 p.m. beginning Friday, Sept. 16.
