The Seattle Animal Shelter has some special bunnies available for adoption.

Originally from England, the English Spot Rabbit came to North America in the early 1900s and quickly became popular companions due to their intelligence, easy going nature and beautiful markings. Seattle Animal Shelter currently has an abundance of English Spot rabbits available for adoption. Adult English Spots are about 5-8 pounds and are active, entertaining their families with their funny bunny dances and athletic antics. Some of the English Spots currently available for adoption at Seattle Animal Shelter include:

Ranger

Ranger is an active and athletic girl! She’s very friendly and enjoys interacting with people. A bit of a smarty, Ranger will find interesting ways to amuse herself if she gets bored. She enjoys playing with her plastic cups and shredding phone books at SAS. Ranger is looking for a family that will spend lots of time playing with her and give her room to roam. Ranger came to SAS after being abandoned at a groomer’s. Volunteers enjoy spending time with the confident and affectionate Ranger and can’t imagine why anyone would want to give her up. She’s looking for a forever family that will keep her in the middle of the action. Ranger might enjoy being friends with another rabbit, but seems to get along fine on her own. You can watch Ranger on SAS’s bunny web camera. Come meet Ranger to see if she’s the right companion for your family.

Lopter

Quill

Lopter and Quil are an adorable pair of brothers hand raised by an SAS foster family. Originally surrendered with their parents and six siblings, Lopter and Quil are now ready to find a home of their own. Lopter has the cutest ears thanks to “helicopter ear.” One ear hangs down while the other is cocked upright, giving him a comical look.

His brother Quil is one of the 25 percent of English Spot rabbits born with a solid coat. Lopter and Quil love spending time with their human friends, exploring playpen space, and snuggling together in a cardboard box hideout. Lopter and Quil are about 4-5 months old and will continue to grow to reach their full adult size. They have great litter box habits and are a laid back pair. Lopter and Quil would do best in a home that will give them lots of attention and plenty of playtime.

All of these rabbits would be wonderful first time rabbits for a family interested in adopting them. Other English Spots are available as well. Call (206) 386-7387 or stop by Seattle Animal Shelter at 2061 15th Ave. W. to meet Ranger, Lopter, Quil and friends.
