I admit it – I’m a huge Monty Python fan. I have the Complete Monty Python’s Flying Circus box set and cannot refuse a good Python quote here and there. Graham Chapman was my favorite Python, and the day he died was a sad one indeed. But, with characters like my personal favorite Mr. Neutron, the most dangerous and terrifying man in the world, and his starring film roles as Arthur, King of the Britons, and Brian “I’m not the Messiah… oh alright, I am the Messiah”, Chapman lives on!

SIFF Uptown is celebrating Graham Chapman starting this weekend (Nov 2-7) with an exclusive premiere of  “A Liar’s Autobiography: The Untrue Story of Monty Python’s Graham Chapman” – a new 3D animated film based on Chapman’s biography. The film uses audio that Chapman recorded prior to his death, and the surviving Pythons provide voices for additional characters.

To continue the Chapman-fest, SIFF is also showing “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” and “The Life of Brian”. Plus, SIFF is providing free coconuts for Holy Grail and free blasphemy for Brian!

So, celebrate Graham Chapman, a very naughty boy, and Monty Python at SIFF this weekend. Click on the photos below to link to tickets and showtimes:
