The holiday season isn’t the only time the Queen Anne Helpline and Queen Anne Food Bank need donations of food to help stock their shelves. To keep the momentum going all year round, the Helpline and QAFB have partnered for monthly community food drives.

According to Lisa Moore, Executive Director of the Queen Anne Helpline:

“We know our community is eager to be involved and ensure no one in our neighborhood goes hungry, so we are delighted with this partnership effort.”

Each month, a different Queen Anne business or church will host a food drive to benefit these two local non-profits. For the month of September, Umpqua Bank is sponsoring the food drive.

You can drop off food donations at our local Umpqua branch at 1630 Queen Anne Ave N. They have a donation box along with a list of the most-needed items. So, stop by the next time you’re near Umpqua, check out the list, and help the Helpline and QAFB with their new monthly endeavor to keep hunger at bay.
