Seattle Animal Shelter Pet of the Week: Maude

Posted on June 13th, 2014 by Laura Fonda

On Fridays we feature an adoptable pet from the Seattle Animal Shelter (SAS). SAS is located at 2061 15th Ave W, just north of Whole Foods, at the corner of W. Armory Way. SAS is open Wednesday – Sunday, noon-6pm.

Queen Anne View has not met any of these pets – SAS is providing us with the description, as they know them well. We encourage potential adopters to get in touch with SAS and work with them to evaluate the compatibility of your home and a new pet.

Updates on previous pets:
Angie & Ninja (pair of senior dogs) – available for adoption
Chinchillas  – available for adoption
Mama (tabby kitty) – available for adoption
Cosmo (yellow lab mix) – available for adoption
Norman (guinea pig) – Adopted!

Maude 1Meet Maude!

There’s no stopping Maude, a senior kitty with the energy, health and spunk of a much younger cat. Maude’s previous guardian became homeless, and brought her to the shelter to find the loving home she so deserves.

Maude 2Maude was obviously very much adored and doted upon. If you’re looking for a cat who’ll make a beeline for your lap whenever you sit down, Maude is your gal. She likes to meow as you pass by, as if to say “Hey, please pet me. I’d love a belly rub!”

Maude 3With a great purrsonality and years of love left to give, she will be a delightful and devoted companion.

Maude (SAS ID #12-7087-2) is being lavished with attention in a foster home, and is not at the Shelter. If you would like to meet her, please call the Foster Cat Hotline at 206-684-0685 to arrange a meeting. Thank you!
