Meet Magpie and Rooster! Magpie (8 year-old male) and Rooster (1 year-old female) are a bonded pair of leopard geckos. After being surrendered to the shelter, this pretty pair is looking for a solid forever home.
Leopard geckos are inquisitive lizards that are relatively easy reptiles to keep. However, potential adopters should do extensive research on the proper care and feeding of leopard geckos prior to adopting (a good starting place is here), and the primary caregiver must be a responsible adult.
With good care and lots of love, geckos can live 10 to 15 years or longer. Your geckos will need regular vet checks with an exotic vet.
There is a low fee to adopt a gecko from the Seattle Animal Shelter; however, you are expected to make a lifetime commitment to your adopted reptiles, and your reptile should be treated as an integral part of the family.
