Queen Anne Community Council meets Wednesday; Pier 86 grain silo art on the agenda

The Queen Anne Community Council meets tomorrow, Wednesday, March 2nd, at Queen Anne Manor (100 Crockett St). The meeting kicks off at 7:30pm and runs to 9:30pm. All Queen Anne residents and business owners are welcome to attend.

The QACC has drafted a letter that addresses proposed art on the Grain Elevator at Pier 86. Per the letter:

“The Queen Anne Community Council has been briefed on and discussed the draft feasibility study concerning adding public art at the grain terminal at Pier 86. Pending a specific art proposal, the Council has not taken a position for or against, but based on our discussions, Council members have strong opinions on the matter.”

Attend the meeting to find out more about the opinions of the QACC. And, read ahead at the Friends of Art on Pier 86 website to learn about the potential for making the grain silos more visually appealing and enriching to the community. Photos of the grain silos is from their site:

9:25 – New Business & Adjournment
