Wow, how long has Pizza Hut been on the corner of McGraw & Queen Anne Ave? Well, it looks like it’s about to end an era, as the building at 2231 Queen Anne Ave N is now for lease as a restaurant property.

It will be available to a new restaurant tenant as of June 1, 2017.

I noticed the sign last week (but the blog was down); here are the details from the commercial listing:

High-visibility, free-standing corner building in the heart of Upper Queen Anne’s bustling commercial core. Current tenant is Pizza Hut. Restaurant build-out includes 10 foot type 2 hood (easy to convert to type 1 hood), walk-in fridge and freezer, grease trap. 8 on-site parking stalls. Potential for outdoor seating.

The listing notes that the lease will include a redevelopment clause with a 24-month notice to terminate. Eventually, that spot will be replaced with new multi-story development, it’s just a matter of time…
