It’s Thursday, and that means another market day along W Crockett. The Queen Anne Farmers Market is open from 3pm to 7:30pm to fill your market needs.
Here’s the info you need to know to plan your late Thursday afternoon and/or evening:
3pm: Pet Day!
Bring your four-legged friends to the market on Thursday, August 3 (also welcome: two-legged friends, no-legged friends, and eight-legged friends – if you have a pet octopus) for a special pet-focused day*. It’s going to be a really fun PAWty.
Pet day will be complete with pet water stations, games, giveaways, and a pet photo booth.
One of the scheduled events is from MEOW Cat Rescue. They will be hosting a stuffed animal adoption event for the young and young at heart. With a pledge to be kind to animals and speak up if one witnesses animal abuse, kids will be approved to adopt the stuffed animal of their choice. They will also be accepting donations for their public spay/neuter voucher program which provides no cost vouchers for spay/neuter surgeries at either an Eastside or north end clinic for folks needing financial assistance to get their pet altered.
Downtown Dog Lounge will be giving grooming touch-ups at market for pets that need a summer trim.
Seattle Veterinary Associates, MEOW Cat Rescue, Downtown Dog Lounge and Wag N’ Wash Seattle/Queen Anne are among the amazing organizations participating in QAFM’s Pet Day.
*We love creatures of all shapes and sizes, we just ask that you short-leash your dogs and make sure they don’t mark their territory on our vendors’ stalls. Thank you so much.
3pm-7pm: Community Tent
Come see PCC Farmland Trust at the Community Tent and learn all about farmland conservation, enter their raffle for a chance to win prizes, and check out their temporary tattoo parlor!
Plus, you can get 2017 QAFM shirts, bags, posters, and NEW-this-year picnic blankets for sale at the Information Tent starting at 3pm.
4pm-6pm: Kids’ Tent – Roots to Shoots
This week, we’ll be making leaf prints and rubs using leaves from Queen Anne! How cool is that?
4:15 Pet Yoga on the Lawn:
Join Madeline Finch Yoga as she leads a 45-minute, family and pet friendly practice on the lawn. Bring your yoga mat and prepare to have a lot of fun. Donations will be accepted.
5pm: Market Music
Join Seattle singer-songwriter Becca McGehee as she shares her gift of music and connection with us.
