It’s that time of year again, the Halloween decorations are popping up all over Queen Anne and readers are asking about the annual Trick-or-Treat event along Queen Anne Ave N. First up, the answer to the burning question: trick-or-treat is happening on Halloween, Tuesday, October 31st, from 3-6pm along Queen Anne Ave N between McGraw and Galer.

The Queen Anne Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the Halloween fun and in order to keep trick-or-treaters safe on Halloween, it’s also looking for volunteer crossing guards. As always, ideally drivers should avoid Queen Anne Ave N on Halloween, but every year, there’s more traffic… and if you’d like to help direct the traffic and keep the kiddos safe, this opportunity is for you.

What’s required for volunteers? Volunteers meet at Umpqua Bank, 1630 Queen Anne Ave N, on Halloween at 2:45pm to pick up safety vests and flags. Two crossing guards will be posted at each cross-street along Queen Anne Avenue from Galer to McGraw Streets. Sign up to volunteer here.

Halloween is almost 2 weeks away, so mark your calendars for the spooky fun & candy along Queen Anne Ave N – Halloween, October 31st!
